1990 Toyota Sunrader

1990 Toyota Sunrader

$28,995

If you are looking for an RV that is reliable, gets good gas millage, and fits in a standard parking spot this could be it! She cruises at 75 mph on the flat while averaging 16 mpg highway. This 21’ fiberglass Sunrader renovation is the culmination of years of work by a meticulous engineer using only the best products money can buy. I chose a 1990 V6 Sunrader as it has all the best features and safety including a beefier 6 lug rear axle, better brake system, air bag suspension, etc. This particular Sunrader came with every available option including generator (2500W gasoline), roof/cab ACs, two awnings, rear storage bin, full chrome package (wheels, grill, handles, trim), ECT power automatic transmission, tinted windows, cruise control, etc. The current mileage is only 53K. The goal was to modernize the RV while still retaining the original Sunrader charm. I first built all new lower cabinetry to replace the old flimsy fake wood ones using solid birch with veneer edging in conjunction with lightweight aluminum for added strength. There are many brand new or replaced things on the RV. It has a brand new hot water heater (propane or electric), quiet high efficiency electrical converter/charger, cabin door lock (adding deadbolt), outside shower, tall toilet, in/out folding shower curtain rod, and interior coverings / carpet. Everything on the roof is brand new including high efficiency AC (low profile ceiling controls), Deluxe MaxAir vent (motorized operation with remote), bathroom vent fan, the longest range roof antenna, and all tank vents. The kitchen boasts all brand new stainless steel appliances - oven / range, hood, microwave, very deep sink with restaurant style faucet, and a huge 7 square foot 3-way refrigerator with freezer. You can even remove the freezer door to use the entire space as a refrigerator! On the back wave accent wall, you can set any color light you want for ambiance. LED clearance lights have also been upgraded. I added a full time night vision rear camera and a monitor to replace the rear view mirror. Drive down the highway jamming to your favorite music with a DVD player with Bluetooth coupled with amazing Rockford Fosgate speakers. Recent engine maintenance includes full synthetic oil / filter, air filter, radiator flush, platinum spark plugs, rainX wiper fluid, Gold batteries (engine and cabin). There are brand new brakes all the way around using Raybestos professional pads. All 6 high ply truck tires are brand new. All windows and ports have recently been sealed. This RV is not perfect, but it’s ready to go have adventures in and make wonderful memories! The body sticker graphics could use an eventual refresh (two companies print them for the Sunrader in any color combination). I have thousands of dollars more invested in this than I am asking, not to mention the hundreds of hours of research and labor put in it. The price is firm at $28,995. Considering a camper van with less space sells for $140,000, this is a steal! Please do not contact me unless you have $28,995 in cash. If you are reading this, the Sunrader is still for sale.

Ultra Rare 1981 Toyota Rockwood Motorhome w/ < 3500 Org Miles

Ultra Rare 1981 Toyota Rockwood Motorhome w/ < 3500 Org Miles

$9,500

This is an ultra rare 1981 Toyota Rockwood model. Previously only thought to have been made on the Nissan chassis in the early 80s. Quick History on this RV: In the early 80s two neighbors in Montana went into retirement together. One bought a Sunrader and the other this Rockwood. The owner of the this Rockwood went on one or two trips a year in it and passed away in 1986 leaving it to his wife. She then sold it to the Sunrader neighbor where it sat behind his shop until he died sometime in the early 2000's. After that the Rockwood was left to his son who left it behind the home shop until 2024 when a friend/acquaintance from Pocatello did some work on his diesel truck and accepted the Rockwood as payment for his skills and services. He brought it back to Pocatello and began restoration including cleaning the tank in 2024 and resealing the roof in 2025. The interior renovation was left unfinished and because he had too many other projects taking priority he decided to list it up for sale. The current owner ended up trading some services and another truck for the rig in the hopes of making some cool memories and taking trips with his girlfriend. Unfortunately the current owner's girlfriend does not have interest in the motorhome and she particularly does not like it because its a manual transmission. This 1981 Toyota Rockwood is now being offered for sale and facilitated by Toyota RV For Sale as a Full Service Listing. What makes this rig special: -One of the only Toyota Chassis Rockwood models spotted in the last 10 years listed for sale. This was a limited run and typically found on the Nissan/Datsun platform. Later "Rockwood" models produced in the early 90s were made by Rockwood Inc. out of Goshen, Indiana and featured a different layout. These also were very rare. -From the backstory and the state of the engine, the odometer reading of 3,389 is believed to be original miles! It has also been confirmed by a local mechanic that all the major engine components are original further backing this assertion. The Positives: -Runs Great (See startup clip at end of the gallery) -Drives Great -AC Blows Gold -Heater Works -New Roof -No Leaks -Has newer inverter from a 5th wheel -Fridge, Heater, Water Pump all work -Fresh Oil Change in 2025 -New Spark Plugs -Fuel Pump & Voltage Regulator Installed Known Issues: -Pre '86 these motorhomes were made on the 5 lug rear axle. These were recalled as they cannot handle the weight of a MH when loaded. For intensive use and safety a 6-lug swap would be recommended. -The tires still have acceptable tread and hold air but are older and will likely need to be replaced for intensive use (will get date codes soon) -This was a low use motorhome and the interior is in very good shape for its age. It is however unfinished Final Thoughts: This Rockwood would make a great running project for an enthusiast looking for a very rare model with low original miles. Mechanically it is sound and there is plenty of opportunity to take this interior and customize it to the new owner's desires. We are working very close with the owner to facilitate the marketing and sale of this vehicle. As part of the sale we are also providing secure funds transfer via escrow as well as title transfer. Shipping can also be facilitated – should the need for that arise. You can contact us by emailing info@toyotarvforsale.com or by calling/texting 503-862-8541. We have driven it from the East Coast to the West Coast multiple times, taken it through Baja Mexico, and trusted it on thousands of miles of open road. It has been the most reliable vehicle we have ever owned. The only reason we are selling is because we are upgrading our living space to a bus. Our needs have grown, It is compact, easy to drive, and built on a legendary Toyota drivetrain. A rare find with a modern off grid electrical system, major mechanical updates completed. --- **Key Features and Upgrades** 1993 Toyota Warrior V6 Approximately **100,131 miles** 6 Lug, 1 Ton Dually Overhead cab completely rebuilt A known failure point on these rigs, rebuilt to ensure long term structural integrity All exterior seams on the sides and around the cab over have been fiberglassed shut The only remaining seam on the rig is where the roof aluminum meets the fiberglass This was a major project completed to permanently eliminate common Toyota motorhome leak points Extensive water damage was repaired when first purchased and preventative fiberglass work was completed to ensure long term protection All windows resealed DC powered refrigerator RecPro range oven Diesel Heater Full Victron electrical system 600 watts of solar on roof Victron MPPT charge controller Four 100 amp hour Battleborn lithium batteries Victron MultiPlus inverter charger MaxxAir fan in the rear Additional fan in the front for airflow and cooling Aftermarket offroad headlights installed Frame reinforced with square tubing Hitch professionally installed by a metal fabrication shop New tires installed about two years ago with less than 10,000 miles New Airlift airbag suspension in the rear duallys Front and rear struts replaced Rotors and brakes replaced Brooklyn Bedding RV mattress in the overhead cab This setup allows true off grid living while also being mechanically refreshed and road trip ready. --- **A Few Honest Notes** DC powered rooftop air conditioner is installed but currently not operational Rooftop AC needs to be resealed and there is a slight leak at that seam The shower has never been used We preferred showering at gyms and used the shower space for storage, So I can't tell you anything about the shower. Black tank and grey tank is installed We used a compost toilet and took it to our new build No toilet currently installed but the original RV flush toilet is included and can be reinstalled. We always just used a composting toilet to avoid having to dump a black tank. Compost toilets are a great way to stay off-grid longer. RV door has been repaired multiple times and can be finicky Common quirk on Toyota motorhomes Exterior was painted about four years ago Paint still looks good overall but there are a couple small areas where it is beginning to chip and a hand full of dings from rocks on the road. We have loved our time in this rig and want it to go to someone who will keep traveling with it.

1993 Winnebago Warrior in Oxnard, CA

1993 Winnebago Warrior in Oxnard, CA

$12,500

This was a recent purchase for me and my family and it is back on the market! We only took this Toyota on a handful of local trips and it worked flawlessly. Engine starts right up and all appliances work, except generator (most these generators never lasted long). 1993 Toyota Winnebago Warrior all original California vehicle – 13 MPG About 77,000 miles, so plenty of life! The layout on this RV is the most popular amongst Toyota RVs. Layout includes: cab over bed, dinette w/ bed, indoor and outdoor shower, newer toilet, gas and electric fridge and freezer. Refrigerator works great and gets ice cold! Brand new tires w/ receipt! Interior in good condition, no cracks on the dash, seats always covered. Some wear and tear, but nothing major. Fits in regular parking spot. Bluetooth stereo w/ upgraded 4Runner speakers. A/C blasts freezing cold & gas heater works. Recently hooked up at campsite and it was enjoyable hanging out inside with cold air while it was scorching hot outside. Replaced: Ball joint suspension/ upgraded chrome bumper and grill, tires are new/brakes good/ newer engine battery/ house batteries a few years ago/ vinyl flooring/ newer toilet/ new cabin water pump/ LED bulbs throughout/ new mirrors Bad: There was water damage with the previous owner which is very common with these 30 year old motorhomes. Ugly patch job, but does the trick. Previous owner replaced the cabover bed wood support beam with steal and new plywood. Generator might need a tune to work but not entirely sure. Roof on AC has tape and chipped, some tape on ceiling but not leaks! This truly is a weekend warrior with plenty of life left. We got lots of compliments from people and often Toyota RV fanatics love the interior. These are becoming very rare in this condition.

1985 Dolphin in Arvada, CO

1985 Dolphin in Arvada, CO

$4,000

1985 Toyota Dolphin 79k miles 22RE motor Dual bearing 1 ton rear axle New tires less than 1k miles on them New clutch 4 speed standard transmission California vehicle with minimal rust This was a project I started several years ago. My plan was for an all-original exterior and a completely modern interior. I removed all of the siding on both sides and hammered out the majority of the dents. Rebuilt all water damaged framing. For the studs I used standard 1×2 pine but anywhere the framing was larger (under windows, rear quarter panels, etc.) I used a very expensive light weight 3/4″ plywood from a manufacturer called Joubert. I also covered both sides with Ty-Vek house wrap prior to reinstalling the aluminum siding. The roof had been caved in a little from the previous owner. I replaced all of the rafters and doubled them up around the emergency hatch. I then covered the entire roof with a TPO membrane for superior water protection. The TPO is still black, would recommend painting it white (do NOT use an acrylic paint). I have all of the appliances except for the three-way fridge. It was the only part I had not gotten around to purchasing, but I replaced the panels around it for a fridge of the exact same size. All of the copper gas line is still in place. I have every vent cover, water line trim, vent trim, shower trim, etc. I used to work for an experiential marketing company and have acquired several either brand new or barely used parts as well. (we would strip down trailers and campers for brands to use for mobile marketing and acquired lots of expensive RV parts. I have a brand-new toilet, and a barely used 5-gal water heater that is the exact same size to fit the existing location of the dolphin. As I mentioned I have all of the original parts/equipment. Which all worked when I started the disassembly. Onan generator, heater, electric power station, air conditioner. I also have lots of new upgrades. LED exterior running lights, updated LED interior dome lights. I actually bought a second Dolphin and stripped it for parts, So I even have several extra windows, extra sink, oven vent hood, etc. I kept the brake booster from the other Dolphin as I know those can be difficult to find and replace. I have 2.5″ beetle kill pine for the new flooring that is included. Beetle kill pine is a beautiful wood with blue streaks through it caused by the infectious beetle. The 85 dolphin has the RE (fuel injected motor and the dual bearing rear 1-ton axle). My plan was never to sell this so I have far more money and time invested than I know I will be able to sell it for. This is a great deal for anyone looking to do their own flip for an incredible and rare RV for many years to come. Contact me if interested and I can email you photos
