Selling a 1978 Chinook camper on a 1992 Toyota Pickup 1-ton Chassis (5600 GVWR, 2100 payload). 5-lug HD rear axle, no fake duallies. PS, PB. Manual 5-speed transmission. No AC ever installed. Brakes and shocks replaced in 2016, and hasn’t been on the road since. It has been started and run periodically each season. Mileage on odometer is true. V6 engine that recently started missing on two cylinders. Not sure why, but it starts, runs, drives; though engine runs very rough.
RV portion: Chinook brand. Partially restored inside. 17’, bumper-to-bumper. This is the side-door model with tall roof (not pop-up). All-fiberglass shell. Original power converter, furnace and two-burner cooktop. Aftermarket Igloo 12V cooler and sink basin. Lots of big windows, plus a vent window on roof above the cab. The main side sliding windows need the sliding channels replaced as they rattle in their frames. Cabinet doors are included, but they are removed in the photos as rewiring is being completed.
This Chinook is actually in fairly good shape. It is a “project” RV because it’s not “road-ready” and will need some finish work to make it that way. “Good bones” as they say. But I’m turning 70 soon, and my bones have just gotten too old to finish it.
