1991 Toyota Winnebago Itasca Spirit
Mechanic owned since 2012. This vehicle performs excellent for its age. 3VZE 6cylinder. The almost new tires go down the road smoothly in balance. The transmission shifts firm as it should as it was replaced within five years. The timing belt was replaced about three years ago with very low miles since. It has an external transmission oil cooler installed 5 years ago, plus its own gauge so you’ll never overheat it rather than an idiot light. Digital tachometer. The engine starts easily and idles quietly. The dash is not cracked because it’s always had a cover over it. Custom bull bars/brush guards in the front. Original seats and no stupid covers. The muffler and tailpipe are about five years old. It has two 100 W panels of Solar to keep your gadgets going. One of the solar panels is not working . The air conditioning works with ice cold air and hot heat. The air conditioner in the back works. The propane stove works, and the refrigerator works well but it needs an electrical heating element. I would not be afraid of getting in this vehicle and driving to Mexico or Alaska. It needs a waxing job. The aluminum clad roof has helped prevent leaks. This vehicle has lived its entire life in California and New Mexico so the bottom is virtually rust free. There is a little rust around the windshield. Up-to-date fire extinguisher. I installed a set of Air-Lyft $500 air shocks a few years ago. Bilstein shocks.
The roof and front overcab window has no major ongoing leaks, and there is no ceiling damage. The water tanks toilet and gray tank all work. It does not come with a generator, but there is a platform on the back, which you can use to carry one with fuel. The interior is original I believe that you could re-shellac the cabinets like I did 10 years ago and they would last another 10. The battery for the motor is fine and so is the house battery. The interior is original. The mileage shows 248,515. This is incorrect as the Speedometer reads fast / higher because it was not originally matched to the rear end differential. This means the actual mileage on the vehicle is closer to 217,450. When the Speedometer shows 63 you are actually doing 55. If you know anything about these vehicles, you know that you can run them forever if you keep after the maintenance. Comes with a spare set of serpentine belt, upper and lower radiator hoses, fan pulley mount bearing, other small items. The biggest issue is that one of the passenger rear corner was damaged from a rear carrier load when hiting a severe dip, and is starting to need attention and reinforcing, but it’s been this way for a while and it would not preclude you from taking the trip or travel until you take care of it.
I have a clean title, but the vehicle is not currently registered as of this last spring. I do not need help selling it and I don’t wanna trade. No cockamamie schemes. Only my health forces sale. Time for someone else to customize to their needs. Pretty much everything works so hit the road. Mattress/ Bedding not included. Pricing reflects wall repair issue.
