1986 Toyota Granville RV automatic with 107K miles. In 2021 this RV had a full $9000.00 engine conversion to V6. (Receipt with details available in photos). This RV runs and drives splendidly. We had to drive it cross country upon inheriting it and drove it from Portland, Oregon to Phoenix, Arizona (1,400 miles) with no issues. It comfortably runs at 70 to 75mph but can go 80mph. It gets a consistent 10mpg.
This little RV belonged to a family member who passed away mid renovation. The interior is gutted; however, we have all of the original parts, and they will come with the sale (ie: seats, couch, table, cabinets, etc. full parts shown in photos)
He installed all new LED lights (headlights, blinkers, running lights, taillights, and interior lighting), new awnings, a backup camera, and had the exterior paint restored.
We replaced the battery in January of this year to get it home and the front 2 tires. The back 4 tires will need replacement.
At 86k miles it had the following maintenance performed according to the records. Other than the full engine rebuild in 2021, we are unsure of any further specifics.
– New Upper/lower ball joints
– Replaced Front pads/rotors
– Re-packed front wheel bearings
– New front KYB shocks
– New coil-assist rear shocks
– New windshield
– New starter
– Re-sealed roof (Dicor lap sealant)
– Rebuilt propane furnace (with Dinosaur circuit board)
– New oversized 3-row radiator
– Installed/calibrated throttle positioning sensor
– Installed mass air flow sensor (bench tested good)
– New gas tank
– Replaced rear axle gear lube
– Propane regulator was checked by an RV service center for safety, no leaks.
- New fresh water tank.
We have been told that the propane stove and oven both work, it has the original electric/propane refrigerator which works on propane but no longer runs on electricity, that it’s super efficient on propane, the toilet functions, neither the grey or black water tanks leak at all and the dump valves all work correctly, the coach overhead electric heater/AC combo works on both generator and shore power.
There is a large storage rack/cage/box combo on the back that holds bike racks. The frame of the vehicle was re-enforced with 1.5×3″ square stock steel from the rear leaf spring perches all the way back to accommodate for the extra weight. The RV also comes with airbag suspension.
**Has correct 6-lug 1-ton rear-axle!**
This is a great find if you’re looking for a project and love this style of antique RV. It has good bones and runs like a dream but needs to be refurbished. It’s the perfect opportunity to build something to suit your needs.
