FOR SALE - 1989 Toyota Motorhome V-6 Manual Transmission
We planned on keeping this motorhome forever, however, our family has grown and we need more space for passengers. We purchased this motorhome in 2017 and renovated the interior and did tons of vehicle and chassis maintenance. The motor is a Toyota 3.0L mated to a 5 speed manual transmission, a very rare combination for these motorhomes, and it gets 17 MPG It has no issues maintaining highway speeds and driving in the mountains. It is currently fitted with snow tires as it has been used as a winter camping and skiing home base all over the western US. This camper has a full float 1 ton rear axle. All wheels including spare are 6 lug dually wheels.
Camper Renovation
The coach was completely gutted and rebuilt. When the camper was purchased the roof and walls had water damage. All damaged areas were removed and replaced with new wood and material. The roof was entirely removed and rebuilt with additional metal supporting beams installed to hold additional weight. The original A/C unit was removed and a MaxxAir fan installed in its place. All interior lighting was replaced with LED recessed fixtures with dimmer switches. All appliances are either new or functioning, original fridge works well.

Issues that still exist
A/C does not always blow cold, could be in need of a recharge or could be a loose belt, have not diagnosed
Fuel gauge is not accurate, when gauge reads 3/4 that means the tank is almost empty
Stereo was installed poorly, the head unit and speakers are not currently working
The onboard Onin generator works but is not hooked to the batteries. This is not an issue as there is plenty of power to run the coach for 3-4 cloudy days with solar and with sun the batteries will never go dead.
The refrigerator is hard to light on propane, once lit it works flawlessly. Works on 110V and 12V perfectly.
Grey water tank and plumbing have leaks, no leaks for black water system.
The front window over the bed was resealed but still leaked so there is a small amount of water damage. The leak has been fixed but some damage is visible.
Fiberglass damage above thee front window from a previous owner has been repaired but not painted.
This camper has been deeply loved and will make a great adventure machine.
